This free Warrior Cats OC creator is a warrior cat maker that paints the cat for you. Pick a rank and a Clan, set the fur color, pattern and eyes, add a scar or marking, and get your Warriors OC as a full-body painting.

Ideas
Stuck on a pelt or a name? Load one of these cats into the generator, then change the Clan, the colors or the scars until the cat feels like yours.

Art styles
Flarepaw, a ShadowClan apprentice, drawn five ways from the same description. Switch the art style in the generator to do the same with your OC, or ask for a reference sheet with front, side and back views of the pelt.

Know the rules
A cat's rank sets its age, its duties and the end of its name. Start with the rank, then pick the Clan and the pelt.

Under six moons old and still living in the nursery with its mother. Parents name their kits, often after their looks, and every kit name ends in -kit.

At six moons a kit gets a mentor and swaps -kit for -paw. Apprentices train in hunting and fighting, join border patrols and pull ticks off the elders with mouse bile.

After a final assessment, the leader gives the apprentice a warrior name, and the new warrior sits a silent vigil guarding the camp all night. Warriors hunt, patrol and defend the Clan.

Heals with herbs and reads signs from StarClan. Medicine cats meet at the Moonpool every half-moon (the Moonstone in the old forest), stay out of Clan rivalries and traditionally do not take a mate.

Second in command, chosen by the leader. The deputy organizes patrols and becomes leader when the leader dies or retires. The warrior code says a deputy must have mentored at least one apprentice.

Travels with the medicine cat to the Moonpool to receive nine lives from StarClan and the -star suffix. The leader's word is law, and the leader speaks for the Clan at Gatherings under the full moon.

A retired cat who has served the Clan. Elders no longer hunt or patrol, are looked after by the apprentices, and tell kits the old stories. Even leaders ask them for advice.
Names and markings
A warrior name is a prefix plus a suffix. The prefix stays for life; the suffix changes with rank, from -kit to -paw to a warrior suffix, and to -star if your cat leads the Clan. Mix a warrior name, then pick a marking. None of the pairings is a canon cat, and every click goes straight onto your cat in the generator.

Pick the detail Clanmates know your cat by.
Guide
Fans judge a Clan cat by its pelt, its name and its place in the Clan. Decide these five things first and let the generator handle the painting.
Each Clan shapes its cats. WindClan cats are small and wiry runners, RiverClan cats are sleek swimmers, ShadowClan cats hunt at night in the pines, ThunderClan cats stalk the oak forest and SkyClan cats leap on strong hind legs.
Build, fur color, pattern, then eyes: "a lean silver tabby she-cat with amber eyes". Stick to real cat colors like ginger, grey, cream or tortoiseshell; neon or rainbow fur reads as out of place in the Clans.
Prefixes come from looks or nature, like a plant, a bird or the weather. Pick a suffix for the rank, and search a fan wiki to check that no canon cat already has the name, since the series has thousands of them.
A torn ear from a border fight or a white blaze a mother named her kit for makes the cat easy to recognize. One or two details are enough; a pelt covered in scars stops meaning anything.
A mentor, an apprentice, a rival across the border and a friend from another Clan at Gatherings give your cat stories to step into. Remember the rules: medicine cats traditionally have no mates, and only deputies become leaders.
