This free Transformers OC creator helps you design a Cybertronian from the Spark outward. Choose a faction, alt mode, size class and armor colors, then turn your original robot into an animated character sheet. It is a Transformers character creator for new bots, not copies of the cast.

Ideas
Each bot has an alt mode that solves a story problem. Pick an idea to load its design into the Transformers OC maker.

Art styles
Morrow Lattice keeps the same sea-green armor, copper wheels and cyan visor as the art style changes. The animated look is the home style here, with no live-action movie design.

Know the rules
Cybertronians change shape, and an alt mode should suit the job and the era of your story. The Spark is their life force. Faction colors here use simple circular badges rather than official insignia.

Often the protectors in Transformers stories. Give an Autobot an alt mode that helps someone, such as a rescue snowcat or mobile repair shop, and a belief they must defend. For Tern Relay, the snowcat treads cross a stormbound pass while orange and cream rescue panels establish a distinct silhouette without copying an insignia. A useful flaw is taking every rescue personally: that makes a small delay feel urgent and gives the bot a choice between one stranded traveler and a larger convoy. Show the tracks, roof beacon and cold-weather panels in robot mode so the transformation is readable even in a still picture.
A Decepticon can have a personal code as well as a faction allegiance. A freight pilot or survey flyer makes a strong OC when the job complicates the orders they receive. Cinder Harbor pilots a cargo tug, so broad hover panels and a loading hook belong on the robot instead of random sharp armor. The character can follow orders while quietly refusing to leave a crew behind. That tension is more specific than making every scene a battle. Choose one practical detail, perhaps a scuffed towing clamp, and let it show how long the bot has worked the docks.

Maximals belong to the Beast Wars branch of the franchise. An animal alt mode can shape the armor without making the robot a copy of an existing beast character. Moss Circuit uses a beetle shell as a broad back plate, with small sample cases tucked beneath it. That leaves room for a botanical survey job and an original shape instead of repeating a famous mammal or dinosaur. Decide which parts stay visible after transformation: curved elytra, compact legs and a small amber circle are enough. The story can follow a seed collection route through ruins rather than a familiar war campaign.

Predacons are the opposing Beast Wars faction. Use a distinctive animal silhouette and a motive beyond winning a fight, such as protecting a scarce mineral source. Quartz Sable is a crystal miner first, so the heavy drill component and reinforced feet have a clear purpose. A Predacon OC can disagree with an ally over how much of a cavern to excavate, then choose the safer path after hearing unstable stone. Keep the red badge a simple circle. If you pick a beast mode, avoid the color scheme, head shape and signature equipment of a named Beast Wars character.

A neutral courier, researcher or mechanic can move between groups. Tell us what their Spark holds to when every faction wants a favor. Morrow Lattice uses a six-wheel rover form to deliver maps where roads have vanished, and a plain gray circle marks no sworn faction. Independence should still cost something: a repair depot might refuse parts, or a client might demand a route be kept secret. Let the Spark trait answer the hard decision. Armor scratches, wheel placement and a repeated copper accent can make the same bot recognizable across a full-body view and a reference sheet.
Names and Sparks
The Transformers name generator mixes two uncommon words so an OC can sound at home on Cybertron without borrowing a famous name. Pick a Spark trait to make that name mean something.

Guide
Start with the job, then let the transformation and silhouette tell the same story.
A courier, repairer, surveyor or miner gives the character a reason to travel across Cybertron. The job makes a better starting point than a weapon list. Write one routine task and one interruption: a courier normally delivers route charts, but today a bridge has gone missing. The interruption gives the alt mode a purpose and gives the Spark trait a chance to matter. Describe the tools the bot carries in plain terms so the artwork can show them.
An Autobot may resist a risky rescue. A Decepticon pilot may protect a crew against orders. A Maximal or Predacon can pursue a beast-era mission. An independent bot can be pulled between them. Pick one relationship that tests the choice, such as a depot mechanic who knows the bot by name. Faction is a story pressure, not a complete personality. The same helpful act can have a different cost for a loyal scout, an uneasy pilot and a neutral courier.
Choose a vehicle or beast shape that supports the job. Keep two or three recognizable pieces on the robot, such as wheel arches, wings or a beetle shell. For a snowcat, place the tracks along the lower legs; for a glider, fold wings behind the shoulders. If every panel is hidden, the alt mode feels like a separate object. If every panel is exposed, the robot can become visually noisy. Sketch the silhouette in one color first, then add the vehicle clues.
Scout, deluxe, voyager and leader sizes change the scene around the bot. Then write one value the Spark will not surrender, even when transformation cannot solve the problem. Size is a prompt for the drawing rather than an exact measurement. A scout can fit beside a depot doorway, while a leader may fill a hangar bay. Choose background objects that show scale. Give the bot a promise it can break, keep or reinterpret during the story.
Use original colors, a distinct visor and a plain faction-colored circle in place of an official insignia. Choose Ref sheet to compare front, side and back panels. Note where each wheel, antenna and badge belongs before making variants. Put the alt mode in Extra design details if a single view cannot explain the transformation. A tidy sheet should help someone draw the OC again without guessing which panels moved between poses or changing its colors by accident.
