This free TADC OC creator turns a few picks into finished The Amazing Digital Circus OC art. Choose a toy-like avatar, body and accent colors and a toy gimmick, decide how close your new circus member is to abstracting, and get them drawn in the show's glossy 3D look.

Ideas
Stuck on an avatar? Load one of these new circus members into the TADC OC creator, then swap the toy, the colors or the gimmick until the character feels like yours. One of them has already abstracted.

Know the rules
The avatar decides what your OC looks like, and abstraction decides what is at stake. Pick a kind of toy, then decide how well your new member is holding up.

Ragatha, the cast's optimist, is a rag doll in the style of Raggedy Ann, with red yarn hair, a blue button eye and a patched blue dress. A doll OC stands apart through its material: porcelain, carved wood, paper, plastic or felt, each with its own way of cracking, creaking or crumpling.

Jax is a tall periwinkle rabbit in pink overalls, and flashbacks add a frog, a yellow cartoon dog, a mouse plush and a purple dinosaur. Animal avatars in the show have rubber-hose limbs and big cartoon eyes, so pick a species nobody has yet and give it one toy detail, like stitching or a squeaker.

Gangle is a set of red ribbons with a comedy mask that breaks to show a tragedy mask underneath, and Zooble is a mix-and-match toy whose parts change between episodes. Object avatars give you the most room: a snow globe, a crayon, a cassette tape or a watering can, with a face, arms and legs added wherever they fit.

Kinger, the longest-surviving human in the circus, is a king chess piece in a violet robe with floating white gloves for hands, and his wife Queenie was the queen. Chess is taken, so look elsewhere in the game box: a die, a playing card, a domino, a marble or a board game token.

Pomni, the newest arrival, is a jester in a red and blue suit with a two-point hat, and Kaufmo was a clown with a head shaped like a bowling pin. Plenty of other acts are still open: an acrobat, a magician, a juggler, a strongwoman, or a lion tamer without the lion.
When a member's mind can't take the circus any longer, they abstract: the avatar turns into a black, glitching shape covered in glowing eyes. It can't be undone, the others hold a funeral, and for most of the series Caine kept the abstracted shut away in the Cellar. Darkness calms them down.
Every day or so, Caine sends the members on an adventure to keep their minds busy, from Candy Canyon Kingdom to the haunted Mildenhall Manor to a shift at the Spudsy's fast food restaurant. His worlds are full of NPCs, many built from blank wooden mannequins, so an OC can also be an NPC made for one adventure.
In the pilot, Pomni finds a red exit door and runs through it, only to wander a maze of empty office rooms that opens onto the Void. Caine admits he made the door because everyone wanted an exit, but never decided what to put behind it. Almost every new arrival goes looking for a way out, which makes it a natural first scene.
Names and gimmicks
Members forget their real names when they arrive, and many in the cast go by a name that echoes the avatar: Ragatha the rag doll, Kinger the king chess piece, Ribbit the frog. Mix a name the same way, then pick a toy gimmick. Every click goes straight onto your OC in the generator.

Guide
Whether you call it a TADC OC or a Digital Circus OC, a good one starts with the avatar and ends with a way of coping. The TADC OC creator handles the drawing; these five choices are yours.
Everyone who puts on the headset wakes up in an avatar, and in the cast the shape often fits the person: a rag doll for the group's optimist, a king chess piece for the longest-surviving member. Choose one toy or object and one reason it suits your OC.
Members forget their real names on arrival, and many names in the cast echo the avatar, like Ragatha, Kinger and Ribbit. Mix one below from a toy word and a silly ending, then try saying it in a ringmaster voice.
The show's look is 1990s-style 3D: big simple shapes, bright colors and oversized cartoon eyes. Pick one body color and one accent, and skip the cast's signatures: a red and blue split, a two-point jester hat, red yarn hair, a button eye, pink overalls.
Every member copes with being stuck in their own way: Ragatha stays upbeat, Jax picks on everyone, Gangle hides behind a comedy mask, Zooble sits out adventures, Kinger hides in a pillow fort. Give your OC one habit, then set Sanity to show how well it is working.
Caine fills the days with adventures: a candy kingdom, a haunted manor, a fast food shift. Write one line on how your OC behaves on one, pick the matching Background, and you have a scene ready to draw. Want a fresh arrival? Put them at the exit door on their first day.
